How to use the online alarm clock
As you hand the West End collection over to another driver, set an alarm for 3:52 am so the change of shift does not leave the cast and crew waiting after the late performance. Pass on the theatre entrance, vehicle details and contact name as well as the time. That leaves a short margin before 4:00 am for the new driver to check the route and be ready to leave.
Because someone else is taking responsibility, test the alarm sound now, while you can still confirm that they heard it and recognised the tone. Set a near-term trial, check the volume, then remove that trial and leave the 3:52 am alarm in place. Keep the browser page open and the phone or computer awake: otherwise the crew collection alarm will not sound, and the driver may miss the agreed handover. A separate backup on their phone adds reassurance when two people are involved.
During a night handover, a bright screen can make the details harder to read comfortably in a dark cab or bedroom. Lower the display brightness before reviewing the pickup note, use the device’s warmer night setting if available, and enlarge the text rather than bringing the screen close to your eyes. Once the 3:52 am alarm is confirmed, put the display face down so its light is not an unnecessary distraction.
Common questions
Does the alarm still work if I close the tab?
No. Everything runs inside this page, so closing the tab — or quitting the browser altogether — ends the countdown there and then. Leaving it open in the background is all it asks, and switching to another tab makes no difference.
What happens if my laptop goes to sleep before 3:52 am?
The tab sleeps along with it and the alarm will not sound on time, if at all. If you are relying on it, change the power settings so the machine stays awake, or keep a phone alarm running as well.
Do I need an account or an app?
Neither. Choose a time and a sound, press Start, and it runs in this browser tab. Nothing is downloaded, nothing is registered, and closing the page leaves nothing behind on the device.
Can I change the sound?
Yes, there is a short list of tones to pick from before you press Start. Softer sounds are easy to sleep through, so a firmer bell tends to be the safer choice for anything early in the morning.
