February is the only month whose length moves. In an ordinary year it runs to 28 days and in a leap year to 29, and 2027 gives it 28. The rule is older than it looks: a year divisible by four gains a day unless it is also divisible by 100 and not by 400, which is why 1900 was an ordinary year and 2000 was not.
