How to use the online alarm clock

Saturday alarms are a contradiction that plenty of people set anyway. Parkrun starts at nine o'clock across hundreds of British locations, junior football and rugby kick off mid-morning, and Saturday shopping is far easier before the crowds arrive than after.

For everyone else it is the one morning where the alarm is a choice rather than an obligation, which makes the time it is set for a decision worth making deliberately. Shift workers, of course, get no such distinction — for a good share of the retail, hospitality and health workforce, Saturday is simply another working day.

This preset points at the next Saturday and rings at the time of day you are currently setting it. Setting it on a Saturday gives you the following week.
